It all began with a simple idea: to continue to pray with others online. On that fateful day—2 June 2020—the world was deep in lockdown. By mid-2020, most countries had imposed strict containment measures, from full stay-at-home orders to curfews and business closures. Churches and parishes were no exception.
We had already formed a face-to-face Prayer Group at our local parish, but suddenly, no one could attend. Then came a spark of inspiration: what if we went LIVE and prayed with anyone who wished to join us? Who were, like us, stuck in the confines of our home.
With a simple tripod, a mobile phone, and armed with our Rosaries, we began LIVE-streaming our prayer meetings on Facebook Live. No teleprompter. No script. Just a deep love for God and a desire to stay connected with others in faith.
Today, that humble beginning has grown into a YouTube channel where 200–300 people from around the world gather to pray with us. What started as a simple idea has become a global prayer community. Some of whom have become friends.
