Why pray the Chaplet of the DIVINE MERCY

JESUS himself revealed the Chaplet of the DIVINE MERCY to Saint Faustina and asked her to pray the Chaplet unceasingly. JESUS told her: Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death.
The Chaplet of DIVINE MERCY is one of the most powerful prayers we could possibly pray. JESUS told Saint Faustina: Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy.

JESUS also told her:

One of the most important messages and powerful gifts Jesus gave to Saint Faustina, and so also to us, is a very special prayer: The Divine Mercy Chaplet.

“Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy." (Diary of Sister Faustina, Note number 687)

“Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them.”

Become a part of that great multitude in the world today-  Praising God for His great and abundant mercy! God is wooing us, longing for us, our trust, and our faith. Like a loved one in our lives, who just wants to be close, God wants us close to Him. Even if you do not know God, God knows you, and He loves you.  Do not hesitate to respond to his love, He simply wants to pour out His mercy on you.

Act of entrustment of the World to the Divine Mercy

On 17 Aug 2002, more than 20 years ago, the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, made an Apostolic Voyage to Poland for the DEDICATION OF THE SHRINE OF DIVINE MERCY.

Today, more than ever before, we see the meaning of that gesture, which we must renew in prayer and in witness of life. Mercy is the way of salvation for every one of us, and for the entire world.

And let us ask the Lord for special mercy, mercy and pity for the deceased Ukrainian people.

Pope John Paul concluded with a powerful prayer, which we can now pray together with him in heaven:

Act of entrustment of the World to the Divine Mercy

God, merciful Father, in your Son, Jesus Christ,
you have revealed your love and
poured it out upon us in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter,
We entrust to you today the destiny of the world and of every man and woman.

Bend down to us sinners, heal our weakness, conquer all evil,
and grant that all the peoples of the earth may experience your mercy.

In You, the Triune God, may they ever find the source of hope.
Eternal Father, by the Passion and Resurrection of your Son,
have mercy on us and upon the whole world!

Pope Saint John Paul II emphasized the urgent need for God's mercy in the modern world, stating:

“Today, therefore, in this Shrine, I wish solemnly to entrust the world to Divine Mercy. I do so with the burning desire that the message of God’s merciful love, proclaimed here through Saint Faustina, may be made known to all the peoples of the earth and fill their hearts with hope”

At the end of the Holy Mass, he expressed his deep love and connection with the place.

"I desire to say that many of my personal memories are tied to this place. During the Nazi occupation, when I was working in the Solvay factory near here, I used to come here. Even now I recall the street that goes from Borek Falecki to Debniki that I took every day going to work on the different turns with the wooden shoes on my feet. They're the shoes that we used to wear then. How was it possible to imagine that one day the man with the wooden shoes would consecrate the Basilica of the Divine Mercy at Lagiewniki of Kraków."
