(Pray this at home during Holy Communion)
My Jesus, I believe
that You are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
Jesus himself wanted this Feast of Divine Mercy established in honour of HIS Mercy.
The following extracts are taken from different parts of the Diary of St Faustina. Quotes from the Diary of St. Faustina are copyrighted by the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, Stockbridge, Massachusetts. USA.
JESUS told St Faustina, "The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. (Diary 699)
On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open,.. on that day... all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened.
My daughter, tell the whole world about My Inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners.
I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy... The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion... shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.* [our emphasis].”
Whatever your reason that is preventing you from receiving the graces JESUS promises today on the Feast of Mercy. You can still attend a virtual celebration.
You can also make a spiritual confession, attend Holy MASS online, and receive Spiritual Communion on this feast day.
